Discipleship Place

This summer, we’re studying the book of Revelation: how do we make sense of this complex book?

Every book of the Bible is an ancient text written to people of a culture and place different from our own. When we visit other countries, our experience and understanding of the people and places that we visit are often enriched by guidebooks or living tour-guides who can help us to understand language, history, and culture. With the Bible it is no different!

I’ll be doing my best to serve as a tour guide through our sermon series, but I’d also like to share a few other resources to help your understanding of this text. Please find them below!

Memory Verse: Revelation 1:4-5

“4 John,

To the seven churches in the province of Asia:

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits[a] before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.”
